Our current and upcoming litters. Listings are updated the moment a puppy's status changes — a puppy marked "available" really is available today.
Puppy photos coming soon. Current litters are photographed in week three, once their eyes are open and their colours have settled. The thumbnails below will be replaced right after the photo session.
Every other detail — breed, sex, colour, date of birth, availability, price — is accurate.
We don't work on a first-come, first-served basis. After we've talked — by email, phone or during a visit — we add your family to the litter that suits you.
Matching happens around week six. We've watched every puppy since birth: the one who follows you everywhere, the one who settles alone, the one nothing rattles. That's what decides which puppy goes to which family — not a colour picked from a photo.
A $500 deposit confirms your place and applies to the total price. It's refundable if the litter doesn't produce the right puppy for you.
No, and that's deliberate. Matching is based on six weeks of observed temperament, not coat colour. A very independent puppy placed with a family hoping for a velcro companion becomes a problem about a year later. We introduce you to the puppy or puppies that suit your household, and you decide from there.
Yes, to some extent — it's a reality of the breed, not a secret. Careful selection of breeding dogs reduces the risk, but never eliminates it entirely. When your puppy goes home, we give every family our tips for protecting their dachshund's back day to day: keeping a healthy weight, limiting jumps on and off furniture, using a ramp or steps rather than carrying them awkwardly.
Every family collects their puppy at the kennel, in Sillery. It lets us show you the handling routine one last time, hand over the complete file, and see the puppy leave in good conditions. We never ship puppies by carrier.
First round of vaccinations, complete deworming, a microchip registered in your name, a veterinary exam in the days before departure, a health record, Canadian Kennel Club registration papers and a blanket carrying the litter's scent.
Yes. A two-year guarantee against serious hereditary conditions, given to you in writing when the contract is signed. It provides for replacement or refund, your choice. We also hand you the screening results for both parents.
They come back here, at any age, without judgement. It's written into the contract. A dog we brought into the world doesn't end up in a shelter or a classified ad — we take them back, or we find them a new home ourselves.
Join the waiting list. We notify registered families as soon as a breeding is confirmed — often three months before the puppies are born.
